Northams

 This past weekend the team (Meg, Caitlin, Gareth, Robert, Laura) and I went to Northams - the North American Championships at York University in Toronto, CA.

It was a longgg drive up there.  We left after the meeting on Thursday night, stayed over some weird place in upstate NY near the Canadian border, and then finally arrived to the Holiday Inn around 2 PM on Friday.  Needless to say, it was a long drive...  We finally got to the tournament, and EVERYONE was there, well a lot of my old friends who I havent seen in a long time.  :)

I judged a few good rounds, I judged 1/2 Canadian Teams and 1/2 American Teams, however all the panels I was consisted of me being the only American, which was cool.  I made a ton of new Canadian friends!  I got to judge a few teams who broke and a bubble round.  I even helped set up 2 guys ;)

Friday night was lots of fun, I partied w/ a bunch of people from APDA.  Apparently the tournament party sucked.  My team was being lame and most of them went to bed, Kyle and Liam were very disappointed at this sate of my team.  However after much nagging we finally got Gareth and Robert to join us :)

Saturday night after the banquet, which kind of sucked, I chilled w/ the team, who gave me a super hard time about wearing shorts... it's not like I was going to leave the hotel...  After that I ended up hanging out with some kids from UBC, and Matt Scarola and a whole crew after that.  I met a few new people, and made good decisions (although I wish I had made some bad ones w/ my crush... aww well).

By the end of the tournament we couldn't wait to get home to good ole USA.  On the way home we stopped at Cracker Barrel for lunch :)

Last 1st Day

Today is my last first day of undergrad :(

It's so surreal, I can't believe I'm a 2nd semester senior.  I know this is cliche, but it seems like only yesterday that I started college...

1st Day of Grad Classes

 Today was my first grad class  I was supposed to have 3 but 2 of them got cancelled.  Apparently my Management Systems teacher sprained his ankle running...

Today I had Contemporary Issues in Global Finance with Professor Lothian, who is a student of Milton Friedman.  He seems really cool so far.  The class is a bit intimidating though, everyone came in with nice pants, and button down shirts.  When we went around teh classroom to introduce ourselves, evetyone was like my name is _____ and I hve a real job... where as I do not...  The professor remembered that i was in the 5 year program and seemed cool though...  I wonder what next week will be like... But I will say I'm excited to take a step forward and see what grad school will bring!

Big Time Rush!

Today we went to the Big Time Rush at Planet Hollywood.  We were supposed to get Flip cameras however with all the girls that snuck onto the line that did not happen, we were so close too..... GRRRR

While waiting online, I texted Ganesh and Alex, cuz they were talking about how I meet celebs all the time.  Turns out they were in the neighborhood, Ganesh in Bryant Park and Alex in Times Square, so they came to visit and I convinced them to come in w/ me.

The boys were really nice, too bad they're younger than me.  I think its weird to have a crush on someone that's younger than me but they were really good looking...

Birthday Celebration Part 1

Last night we (Chrissy, Hannah, Ganesh, Rebecca and I) went to Serendipity for dinner. I got cheese ravioli and a frozen hot chocolate! :) It was the weirdest combo of people, but still tons of fun. Hannah was on the debate team with me in HS, Ganesh was on the math team, and we had tons of classes together in HS, but he was in a different circle, Rebecca was my roomie at VBI (debate camp), and Chrissy, well she's my cousin.

Afterwards Ganesh and I headed to Celsius at Bryant Park, where we met up with Ashley and Jackie. I got carded for my first official drink as a 21 year old!!! I had a Snow White - Kahlua, hazelnut, vanilla, steamed milk and whipped cream, which was awesome, it was a warm alcoholic drink, who knew those existed. Later Torres showed up followed by Caitlin, Frank and his new GIRLFRIEND!

We then went to Friday's after, where I got the coolest cotton candy drink! :)

21!!!

I'M FINALLY 21!!!!!!!!!!

GRAD SCHOOL!!!

I got into grad school!!!!!!!!!  It's official, I will be going to Fordham Graduate School of Business to get my MBA in Communications and Media Management! :)

I had been on edge waiting since the beginning of the month.  I was supposed to hear back yesterday, and called maw to see what she thought I should do.  I called her and she was like UGH, I'm going to fix my glasses, and on her way out she found the envelope and I GOT IN!!! :)
