Sex and the City

Last night, Cathy, Adge, Christine, Diana, Torres, Kenny, Peter, Emily and I went to see midnight showing the Sex and the City Movie at College Point Multiplex. The movie was awesome! Especially considering I dont really follow Sex and the City all that much.

Kenny came to pick me up and take me to Cathy's... I saw a white pick up truck pull up to the front of the house, I got up to the truck and was standing about a foot away then realized it wasn't Kenny. So I quickly ran back towards the porch and into the house. We picked up Adge, then went to Cathy's house, then decided to leave around 11/11:15 to the theater. There was suprisingly a lot more people ther ethan I had expected. I saw Debbie and Allison from JHS, which was a suprise.

After the movie we headed to Dunkin Donuts to chill. OMG, I didn't get back til about 4:45 AM!

What a day!

Today was my last day @ Norma Kamali. When I arrived to my surprise, the place was closed... to customers at least, as they had just painted the place. So we were working on putting everything back in its place. There were a bunch of new interns. I met my replacement for the summer, and I really liked her, even though to some extent I kind of didn't want to. She was really cool though. My last day was nothing special, same old, same old. I ended by polishing the bottles of olive oil...

Throughout the day I was supposed to meet up w/ Jon. We were texting back and forth, and had been trying to plan this for days... So we had finally set a time and place. Unfortunately he called around 5PM and canceled on me :-\ At least he was nice enough to call and tell me himself.

I had gotten out of work early, so I decided to go sit in the cute little fountain area... and guess who was there?!? Anne Hathaway and Kate Hudson! They were there filming "Bride Wars" So at first I had seen a big mob of people and was like ehh thats probably just a bunch of tourists, and walked right past it. Then I discovered that it was actually Anne Hathaway, and walked over but she had already left. The crew was setting up lighting for later, so i wanted to stick around. However I felt kind of awkward and stalkerish jsut standing around, so I went to the Apple store for a little while. When I left around 5:30 ish they had started to film! YAY!!! :)

I got a standing spot right in the front of the caution tape we were allowed to stand behind. I got some pretty bad pix, but it was fun. I made some friends w/ some Alabamans lol. Then we bump into a crew guy, and I ask him if there's any way we can meet Anne. And hes goes so where do work? I tell him... then he goes "so if I went to your job and asked you to get coffee, would you do that?" And I go "...no?" Then he says: "exactly, Anne cant meet people while shes working either..." The moms of the girls say they think he liked me... which i def felt like he was hitting on me... so then I go so where are you guys filming tomorrow, and I guess he felt bad and told me! But didn't tell me times :-\

Then when I headed home I thought I saw a guy that looke dlike Matt Yarnell, a dino from West Point. We did the whole glance over thing w/ each other, so it could've been him... who knows. On the 7 all of a sudden I see a guy sitting across from me and its FRANCISCO!!! What are the chances of that?!? So that was pretty cool!

And that's my day!

Major Confusion

I was a bum yet again today. However I did leave my house! Even if it was only for a little while and I only went as far as my porch to read some magazines.

Anyways, I was talking to Mr. Patrick Star earlier today and he has me rethinking of what I should do with my life as far as majors go...

All these questions are running through my mind:
Should I do finance or marketing? Should I do a full finance major or should I do a Business Administration major with a concentration in finance and marketing? Then that would leave me with 3 extra courses that I can use to try to do a 3rd concentration, or a specializaiton (which would most likely be in Communication and Media Management), or an econ minor? But if I do that what would I go to grad school for?

So many possibilities, so little time. But either way I'm going to end up taking Linear Algebra this summer. If i don't my future might be screwed...

Everyone I've spoken to doesn't really see a difference between a finance concentration or major... If this is truly the case, then I think I might just do a Business Administration major with a double concentration in finance and marketing. Then based on that I can apply for the MS program my junior year and if I get in I can just leave it at that and get 3 grad courses done senior year, which would be pretty sweet!

There are too many options, what is a girl to do?

TGIF...

Today was my first day back at Jango since forever! I didn't get as lost as i had predicted I would. I got off the subway, and found all the streets I needed. The new office is literally around the corner from the entrance of the Holland Tunnel.

I finally arrive to the building, I go in and theres a little entrance booth, and the guy asks who I am. I tell him I'm interning for Jango, then he goes to tell me that he's never seen me before and calls up for me... I see two other people sitting on the couches in the lobby, they turn out to be other Jango interns! Going into Jango and seeing the list of people that will be interning this summer, I learned there was a guy that goes to Fordham, which happened to be one of those 2 people! What are the chances of that?

The guy turned out to be super nice and super good looking! :) Apparently he had lived on the 3rd floor of O'Hare but we never seen each other, who knew? We talked then Jill came to get us, and we finally met. Jill's super nice! Then we got "trained" on how to find fan sites and about trees, it was pretty self-intuitive.

For lunch we went out for lunch at this really great sandwich place :)

And that's about all that happened at work. Did I mention I was sick and sniffling all day? lol. It was nice to go back and see everyone though :)

I was planning to meet up with Hannah after what I thought would be an 'orientation' which turned out to be 'training,' but that sadly didn't happen :( I guess I'll just have to make the trip to visit her!

Since the car wasnt working and was in the shop, I had to walk home from the Q44. While walking, I tripped and fell face first right in in the street :-\ Luckily it was in front of a stop sign. It was soo embarrassing. Not only did I fall, I fell in front of someone, and to add the icing to the cake, as I tried to get up, I just fell down again.

I ended up getting a big scrape on my right hand, a small scrape on my left 2nd toe, and a scrape on my left knee (which caused a hole in my pants... they were so cute).

I GOT THE JOB!!!

I GOT THE JOB WITH AIG!!!

Only thing is that it's a full time job, I've never had one of those in my life. Well I've never had a job job ever, except for work study and that doesnt really count.... Even though it's going to be a major time eater, I'm so excited! :)

It's another Wednesday

I woke up this morning with headache, then went to my internship at Norma Kamali (for those of you who don't know). During my lunch break, I walked to Hunter College to hand in my app so I can take summer classes. The walk from Norma Kamali (on 56th St in between 5th and 6th Ave) to Hunter (69th St. in between Park and Madison Ave) was a lot longer than I thought, well the walk back at least. Probably cuz it was cloudy and raining at that point. I got soo lost trying to figure out where I had to go and everything. Guess who I bumped into as I went to hand in my transcript... Mike!!! How random/cool is that?!?

Then I went back to work and did some shopping before I left for the day. I got Hannah a birthday present and a dress for myself! :)

Ahh!!!

GIS called me this morning for AIG, for the background check. They wanted me to fax them my HS diploma, but I can't find it!

But on a happier note, there are 15/30 slots open for the linear class I want to take at Hunter. I guess I'll have to go in and take my app tomorrow!

My First Post

It's 1:26 AM EST, and I'm bored out of my mind, so I thought I'd make a blog!

I'm not one for keeping up with blogs, but let's see how it goes!
