MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!
MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!
I hope everyone has a wonderful Christmas!!!
Today we watched the parade and opened presents!!! :) I got a bunch of DVDs and other cool things. I got the softest pajamas! :) Mommy and Daddy liked the presents I got them (magnets from Harrords - one of a bear dressed up as a soldier, the other as a cop), however Jacqueline didn't really like hers :-\ (I had gotten her a "bobby" hat from London).
Afterward we went out for lunch in Flushing, figures the only restaurants open would be Chinese restaurants.
Right now Chrisy and Katherine are over, and we're playing Guitar Hero World Tour :)

Today I saw Ganesh, Yi, Hannah and eventually Alex. Originally it was going to be just me and the math team boys, but Hannah arrived to the city early and gave me a call. I must admit it must have been a little weird for Ganesh and Yi since they don't know Hannah that well.
We started out at Grand Central, then to Wendy's (near Rockefeller Plaza) for lunch. We then went to Magnolia, where I got some apple cider :) Soon later, about 1 1/2 hours later Alex finally showed up! We decided to go to the Time Warner Building an went to Borders, no surprise there - lol.
Next we went to the park, and played on the swings, and got Alex and Yi nauseous on the tire swing - lol. After playing in the park we saw "Slumdog Millionaire," which was AMAZING!!!!!!! It was on movie that we all agreed was awesome, which doesn't always happy. It even made Yi happy at the end! :)
For dinner we went to the Mac and Cheese place that Konstantin wouldnt go to last time.... The place was really cute. For dinner I got the cheeseburger mac & chesse, which was amazing. I ate more than Yi!!! All the boys loved their dishes. The place was PHENOMENAL and a must go to!

Cupcakes!!! :)
Today I took my Forensics Chem Final, it was like every other test I have taken, it was all on the random stuff that nobody really studies... Hopefully I did well, we shall see. Ryan felt the same way, at least I'm not alone.
I just came back from chilling with Ganesh and TJ. We ended up hanging out in the city. We started at Lincoln Center - at the Time Warner Building and somehow ended up in Chinatown for dinner.
The boys and I went on a "cupcake tour" which started at Magnolia's, TJ' brilliant idea! Magnolia's was awesome as usual, we all got chocolate cupackes, of course I got one w/ pink frosting ;) Next was Crumbs, we got a Hostess Cupcake and Blackout Cupacake, which was the most chocolately thing ever!!! But we decided to be smart and get some milk first, which was hilarious and lead us to our next cupcakes. Apparently nobody had ever ordered just milk, even though it wa on their menu as such. We then went to eat the cupcakes, TJ described the blackout cupcake as "mouth rape" LOL. Then we went to the place in Bryant Park that the lady at the milk place had told us about. The cupcakes were soo tiny, but sooo good! They were about the size of a quarter and could be eaten in one bite. The cupcake designs were so intricate, it was amazing!
We then decided to walk around, and somehow ended up walking to Chinatown. I ordered some "chow mein" for the boys, which they liked! And here I am back at Fordham!

IT'S MY BIRTHDAY!!!
I'M FINALLY 20!!!
That means not only am I no longer a teenager, but I'm now 2 decades old... not really sure how I feel about that yet...
Last night we went out to Mugz and OMG tonight my friends surprised me w/ a homemade cake! :) BEST BIRTHDAY EVER!!! I YOU GUYS!!!! <3 Last night we went out (Me, Ashley, Becky, Hilarie, Jackie, Jenny, Rachel, Alex & Will) to Mugz. I had 2 drinks and 2 shots, impressive huh? Needless to say they had gotten drunk. Everyone else got drunk as well... Ashley and Jackie kissed... 4 times. We had said we were only to go out for an hour or 2 - lol. That clearly didn't happen, we were out from 10:45 - 2:30 ish, followed by a dance party in our room til like 4 AM.
This morning started out kind of boringly, I did have lunch w/ Becky and Jackie though, followed with take out from Simon's with Ashley, Becky, Jenny and Sean. :)
Towards the end of the night I was a bit "mopey" as Jenny put it as I didn't have cake, so I was going to eat the cupcake that Rose had gotten me. I was going to eat it w/ Jenny, however she disappeared so I was chilling w/ Liz Donohue for a bit.
Danielle called and wanted to see us, so we went to the lounge and... SUPRISEE!!!!
Ashley and Becky had baked me a cake for my birthday! <3 Everyone was there as well! Ashley, Becky, Rachel, Jenny, Danielle, Andrei, Will, Alex, James and Diddy.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY JACQUELINE!!!
HAPPY 15TH BIRTHDAY JACQUELINE!!!
To one of the coolest sisters I know, may all your birthday wishes come true!
To one of the coolest sisters I know, may all your birthday wishes come true!
I totally suprised her w/ my present. I had given her the pair of shoes she was expecting, however underneath them in the shoe box, I placed the wallet I got her, and man it took her forever to find it. I hinted so hard too, and we had to tell her - lol.

MICHAEL PHELPS!!!
I MET MICHAEL PHELPS!!!
Today I met Michael Phelps! He was doing a book signing for his new book @ Barnes and Noble on 5th ave. I know what you're thinking, Michael Phelps can write? Well on the cover it is titled "No Limits with Alan Abramson" LOL.
After my LAST class of Business Communications w/ Professor McCarthy, and lots, well some convincing, Mike and I headed to the MetroNorth to Grand Central. As I went to get a ticket, this random girl, was like can you get me a ticket, I can't remember my pin # and I'm late. After a while I just walked down to the platform. Only to hear "Elizabeth, you're on the wrong platform." (It was Mike). We had a nice ride down.
We proceeded to walk to Barnes & Noble and got there around 10:30, on the way we saw the line, and boy was it long! It was at 46th & Madison, meanwhile the store was at 46th & 5th on 5th. Mike saw the line and was not going to wait on it. But he did say he would stay w/ me for 20 mins, that was nice! I ended up getting 2 books, one for me, the other for the AIDS auction.
On the line I made new friends, Megan, Natalie, Shannon, Katie from Belmont University in Nashville, Tennessee. The girls were super sweet. As we were waiting on line, this nice SUV stops literally a few feet in front of us. It was Michael Phelps' car! We were right in front of the store's side entrance. What are the chances of that?!?
Random people kept asking the girls to get their extra books signed, to the point where they were rejecting everyone. There was one lady who asked them to get 2/4 books signe for her nephews (there was a 2 book cap). Since so many people had been asking, the girls said no to be fair. Then a few mins later, she came up to us, and tried to blackmail us. She had something to the effect of, I saw you girls had your friends come on and off the line, thats not fair. Which was not true, the girls had all come together. They may have taken shifts to get coffee and such, but they all got on line togheter. We actually couldnt figure out when she had gotten on the line. She had a really big fur coat that you could not forget - lol. After a long wait, we finally got into the store, only to go onto another line.
Finally around 2, we get to meet Michael!!! He was actually really nice. It was so weird though. We got up to one lady gave her our books, then it was passed to 2 other ladies (3 total) before it got to Michael. When I finally got up there I got to speak to him for like 2 secs. He was really nice :)
As we left Barnes & Noble, the girls invited me to lunch w/ them. They were total sweethearts! :) After I departed from the girls, I realized I had a missed text from Mike and a missed call from an "Unknown ID..." I think Michael Phelps called me!!! I was trying to be logical, and the only person it could be is Michael!!! The out of nowhere Mike called me :)
Last Financial Management class tonight! :)

Last Day @ AIG
Today was bittersweet.
Joycelyn had forgotten today was my last day :(
Shaun, Amelia and I went out for lunch together at this really cute Japanese restaurant, Haku?
I bought cards and Hershey kisses for everyone, which they all seemed to love! :)
I went to say bye to everyone, then when I got to Joycelyn, I started bawling... Leave it to me...

Black Friday
Today I hung out w/ the math team boys, well the math team boys minus TJ. I got to the train station early, so I went to Macy's and got 2 pairs of shoes, pumps to be exact... One of them was really cute pair from Nine West, it was very cute and party-esque, hard to describe, and the other was a brown alligator skin pump.
We chilled in the 42nd Street area. I thought I was going to be late, but I was the first one in that area ironically. I texted Ganesh telling him that I would be 7 mins late (I knew it would be more than 5, but less than 10 mins), and I was surprisingly right!
Konstantin and Alex were going to be late, so we went to the comic book store and got Alex a comic book for his bday then went to get lunch at McDonalds. Eventually Konstantin came, but we still had no idea what we wanted to do. We walked aroun the shops in Bryant Park, and eventaully headed down 5th ave towards Circuit City. On the way there, I saw a Kira Plastinina store, I had heard about them so had to stop in. I knew this would torture the boys, so I told them I'd meet them in Circuit City. Some how I ended up buying 4 pairs of shoes... but I only spent $50 :)
Eventually Alex came, then we went to the Regal theater to see Quantum of Solace. The movie was really good, not as awesome as Casino Royale, but still awesome! I jumped in my seat quite a few times, so many times that Alex started to make comments while we were watching the movie lol.
Afterward we went to look for a place to eat dinner. Alex mentioned this Mac & Cheese place, that Ganesh and I really wanted to go to, but Konstantin wouldn't have it... So we ended up going to some random deli for dinner, where we just chilled and talked for the rest of the night.

Fordham Tournament - It's over!!!
Before I say anything, I believe some congratulations are in order!
CONGRATS TO:
ROHAN/DHRU ON WINNING NOVICE FINALS
BEN/LAUREN ON WINNING THE TOURNAMENT
BIG LUPO/SAM ON BREAKING TO OCTAS
MICAH/TIGER ON BEING 3RD NOVICE TEAM
CAITLIN ON BEING 3RD SPEAKER
DAVID ON BEING 10TH SPEAKER
We gave out some pretty sweet swords ;)
The tournament went pretty well, nobody had to sleep on the streets and I made a lot of new friends, or I spoke to and am more friendly with people!
Sharon, from one of my expansion schools Medgar Evers College (CUNY), came to watch some rounds. She was really cool. I had her watch Liz Zahler/Sam Hynes' rounds. She really liked the rounds, and so did her supervisor, which is a Fordham Alum.
We ended up not doing team dinner after the tournament :-\ Instead we went to White Castle, which was not the same but we still had a good time good. It was basically Meg, myself, Boma and the novii. Everyone was eating White Castle throughout the tournament so I was craving some White Castle and a chocolate milkshake!
They were checking bags in Walsh, so we couldn't get in, so we were going to go to Alpha House to watch a movie. The novii were being really indecisive, and since nothing else was going to happen there, Meg and I decided to go back to O'Hare. And that's my night!

Fordham Tournament
Today's the big day, lets hope everything goes well!!! :)
**EDIT**
I was doing reg, which went rather smoothly. I finally got to meet Tom Mooney (CBA '81), which was cool. I ended up only housing 3 boys - Lupo, Kyle and Sam.
Kyle, Jim and I ended up going to Pugleys (the pizzeria). We tried to convince the others to come but they were being lame :( On our way out, we ended up deciding to go w/ Jayme (because of Kyle...) so we went back to O'Hare, and Ross was coming in with the girl that was housing Connie?!? :-\
I played the best trick on Lupo, it was kind of funny... on our part at least ;)

OMG my Financial Management midterm last night was sooo hard!!! I didn't/couldn't finish the test... it was that bad, and we all know how good I am w/ numbers. Essentially all of the class was there til the end, or at least 15 mins to the end. Erica, who is a genius, was there til the end, and she had just finished and thought she only did OK. Hopefully he'll curve the test.
Then when I got back to O'Hare last night, I thought I'd be good and pitch in w/ housing. It shouldnt take too long right? WRONG!!! I was there until close to 1AM?!? But we managed to get it all done. I could tell Meg was pissed cuz some of my people had backed out, well they didn't technically, they just couldn't be there at 11 PM to sign the kids in, but were still willing to do it....
I finally spoke to Ross last night... that was interesting to say the least. Not awkward at all, but it sounds like West Point gave their word to be good, and they're following it :-\ Sucks, but I understand.
Back to work, update later.

American University Tournament
We got back from the AU tourney earlier today, around 8:30ish.
I hybrided with Matt Herdman from William & Mary. I must admit at first I was very timid about hybriding, but it turned out really well. Matt was an awesome debater, really cool, and we had actual mutual friends in real life!
Our rounds were as followed:
W&M/Fordham, MD C - We should not use public funding to tear down and rebuild the new Yankee Stadium
Duke B, W&M/Fordham - Eminent domain should be eliminated
UVA A, W&M/Fordham - Performance enhancers should be legalized
W&M/Fordham, Swatmore/Brandeis - SUV vs Electric Car
W&M/Fordham, MD F - Schools should not be allowed to restrict food based on child welfare
The tournament went really well. I hung out a lot with Chicago and Columbia. Turns out Tom Blaser managed to convince Greg Nance to join their team! (Tom is a self-proclaimed scared puppy)
Friday night went well, Team Chicago, Team Columbia and I had all gone to the Monument Mall, while the rest of team Fordham, Matt G, Laura, Gareth, and Robert walked to the Metro and went to see the mall on their own. I had taken the shuttle w/ Columbia and met up with Chicago at the Metro cuz they had not waited for us. We checked out the sites and then went to go look for food. We walked around for over an hour trying to find food, but had no luck :-\ It was very sad, we couldnt find any food :( Then it started to POUR!!! It was nearing 3 AM, so we decided to head back to the AU dorms since the train/shuttle stopped running at 3AM.

Dean's List & MTVu Woodie Awards
Today has been super hectic. Not only did I have to go to work, I also was going to the Dean's List Reception, and eventually the MTVu Woodie Awards. It was pretty awesome!
The day started out with me going to work, from 9-2:30, I didn't get back to Fordham until close to 4PM. When I then had too take a shower and get ready for the Dean's List Ceremony. A few mins after I get out of the shower, I get a call from mommy, saying shes already there. So i run and get dressed, and then head out to the Dean's List ceremony... a bit wet.
Dean's List Ceremony
The dean's list was super long, but the whole ceremony ended at 6, which was good. I realized I wasn't going to have time to make it back to O'Hare, so I decided to get some food, take my time, and meet Kaylin at in the lobby of McGinley.
We met up w/ the random freshmen that were coming, we had 16 tix, but were only using 4. I was trying desperately to get rid of them, with little luck. We took the 6:30 PM ram van thinking we would get there around 7 pm. Wow were we wrong, the driver took the Riverside Highway and hit every single red light. The other van had gotten there way before us apparently.
Woodie Awards
The Woodies were super crowded, but so much fun! We started out in the back, but then some how made it to the front of the section! At the end of the night I got to meet the lead singer of BOYS LIKE GIRLS!!!
