SASF Speak Week 2015

Today my friend Rocky and I visited PS 122Q in Astoria, NY to speak to second to fifth graders about our careers as part of Sports & Arts in Schools Foundation (SASF) Speak Week.

I had such a wonderful time sharing all of my experiences with the students and answering all of their questions!

Fresh Blue Box 2015 First Fresh Kiss Tour

Today Fresh had a pop up event near their Bleeker Street event.  The event was pretty cool - they were allowing you to try out their Sugar Lip Treatment on the spot and to confess your first fresh kiss in their confession photo booth.

The lip treatment was interesting - first you put on a raw sugar scrub on your lips, remove the scrub, then put on the sugar lip treatment lip tint. I wil say my lips did feel smoother after putting it on.

I then went on to design my own makeup bag with an imprint of my lips and my signature.  How cute is this - such a great idea!

HAPPY EARTH DAY!!!

Success Academy 3rd Annual Spring Benefit

Today I attended Success Academy 3rd Annual Spring Benefit at Cipriani 42nd Street.  The event kicked of with a STEP performance followed by some wonderful speeches, including a keynote by Representative Hakeem Jeffries and Daniel Loeb

I am still not quite sure how I feel about charter schools, but it looks like Success Academy has definitely made an impact in many students' lives!

Thank you to Marc Leder of Sun Capital Partners for having me!

Here are some pictures from the event.

Stepping to kick off the night!

Miss Supertalent of the World USA - Pageant Weekend

This weekend I competed for the title of Miss Supertalent of the World USA (STOW), which was formerly Miss Asia Pacific USA.

Little did I know going into this that ALL of the contestants had competed at a national pageant before!  But I tried not to let this get to me.

This pageant was different than most pageants I have competed in, in that there was no interview (just an onstage question) and only the top 12 would compete in the "self-expression" aka talent portion.

While I did not place, I won the "Fun Fashion Swimwear" portion of the pageant!  Never in my wildest dreams would I have expected to win best swimsuit, especially with such a amazing pool of women!

I had a wonderful time meeting and competing with all these wonderful ladies!  Thank you Kyle Haggerty for this great opportunity!

Happy Ultimate Pi Day!!!
